Useful Tips

1. Position the camera as high as possible.

Reduce as much parallax error as possible by increasing the distance between the camera and the object. This is especially important for cylindrical objects and objects with large depths.

2. Take a photo and length measurement of each individual item.

Simply take a top-down view photo of each unique item you want in your case and note down the length and depth of each object. If you do not want your foam insert to account for straps or cords, tuck the straps/cords above or below your tool before taking the photo.

If you would like them arranged in a particular order, send us another photo of their arrangement.

3. Use a contrasting background.

Make sure that the edges of each item stand out clearly against the background. Adding a contrasting paper behind your tools can help if they're blending in. Additionally, using high-quality photos and proper lighting will also produce better results.

4. Avoid harsh shadows.
